Brandie L. Heffelmire
Brandie grew up in Schererville, IN, and graduated from Lake Central High School (St. John, IN), and then attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, where she received a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Brandie then attended law school at Michigan State University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, and served as the Community Service Coordinator and then Vice President of the Women’s Law Caucus.
While in law school, Brandie worked a variety of internships in Michigan. Brandie was a law clerk for Legal Services of South Central Michigan, where she assisted on family law, domestic violence, and tenant/landlord cases. Brandie also spent a semester working in the Chance at Childhood Clinic at Michigan State University, where she worked alongside a social worker to conduct guardianship reviews and custody evaluations. During the summers, Brandie worked at the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, and also worked as an intern at Trapp Law, LLC, before becoming a licensed attorney.
