Criminal justice cases may start long before charges are levied

Many people don't realize that the criminal justice process can sometimes start long before the defendant is arrested on charges. There are some cases that involve months or years of investigative work before the day when the warrant is placed. All of this means that the prosecution has one up on the defendant and that the defense team will have to work hard to catch up.

We are familiar with the entire process. Your case needs to be investigated from your viewpoint. We need to look at everything from a defense standpoint. We also need to think about how to address the factors that are being used to point to you as the culprit in the crime.

It is easy to think that you know what should happen in a case, but you have to think about the fact that there aren't any certainties in these cases. Instead, you have to think like a juror if you are going to take the case to trial. This can help you determine where you need to focus your efforts when developing a defense strategy.

There isn't any requirement that you have to take your case to a jury trial. You might be able to resolve it before it hits that point. A plea deal is one of the options that many defendants choose to pursue since it gives them some level of control over the outcome. Still, this might not produce the results you want. We are here to work toward trial preparation for you while exploring other options if you want to look into those.
